FAQ

What does a wedding day with Goose & Gown feel like?

Your wedding day with me feels calm, joyful, and intentional. I balance being a supportive presence with knowing when to step back so you can fully live in the moment. When direction is needed (like for portraits or family photos), I’ll guide you clearly and efficiently so it feels easy and natural—not stiff or stressful. The rest of the day, I blend in like a guest with a camera, catching the real, unscripted emotions that unfold. My goal is for you to look back and think: “I felt relaxed, I had fun, and Katie was exactly where I needed her to be.”

Where are you based and do you travel?

Yes! I’m based in Northwest Arkansas but happily travel anywhere your love story takes me. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance and location.

When will we get our photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 8 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints! A minimum of 10 sneak peeks are provided within 72 hours after the event.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes! Engagement sessions are included in some packages or can be added on. They’re a wonderful way for us to get comfortable working together before your big day.

Do you work with a second photographer?

Yes, many couples choose to add a second shooter for extra coverage. This ensures we capture multiple angles, especially during key moments like the ceremony or reception entrances.

What is a second photographer?

A second photographer is an additional professional that I personally choose to join me on your wedding day. They work under my direction to capture extra angles, details, and candid moments I can’t be in two places for (like the groom getting ready while I’m with the bride). All of the images taken by the second photographer are delivered to me, and I carefully cull and edit them in my signature style. This way, your final gallery feels cohesive and polished, no matter who clicked the shutter.

Can family and friends take photos too?

Yes! I only ask that during key moments (like the ceremony) guests remain seated and allow me to do my job without obstruction.

How do we book you?

To reserve your date, a signed contract and 25% retainer are required. Once those are in, your date is locked in, and the planning begins!

Do you carry backup equipment?

Absolutely. I bring multiple camera bodies, lenses, and memory cards to every wedding so I’m fully prepared for anything.
